How I can Change my Security Code for iPod
How I can change my Security Code for IPOD
Later iPod nano and iPod classic or ipod touch 3g models are prepared with a screen lock quality.
While the locking
process does nothing to forbid someone from adding or deleting
music from your iPod
-- an iPod always unlocks when it is connected to a computer -- it will
stop people from looking through your library. If you don't
want anyone else to be tempted to
borrow your iPod
without authorization, utilize the lock screen, which requires a code. Reset
the
security code if you think it is compromised.
STEP 1
Turn on your iPod and click the "Menu" button.
Scroll to "Extras" and click the middle button
to select it.
STEP 2
Choose "Screen Lock" from the "Extras"
menu. Depending on your device, you will either see a "Lock"

STEP 3
Enter your current security code by scrolling slowly on the
click wheel in a clockwise direction.
As you scroll, the visible number will increase from 0 to 9;
stop when you reach the desired number
and press the forward
button on the right side of the wheel to move on to the next number. Once the
current code is entered, a screen will appear for you to
create the new code.
STEP 4
Select the first number in the new security code by
scrolling to the right on the click wheel and
clicking the forward button to move to the next number. Once
the new code is created, you will be
returned to the "Screen Lock" menu.
TIP
If you cannot keep in mind your current security code and
the device is locked, plug it into your
computer and open
iTunes. When you disconnect the iPod it will be unlocked.
WARNING
If you lose your code and connecting to a computer does not
unlock the iPod, the only option is
to restore the device
to factory settings, which deletes all music on the iPod. Apple workers
have no way of accessing your security code.
